On my phantom 2 vision + I cannot get the app to show the camera view on my iPhone.  I've upgraded firmware, washed multiple suggested trouble shooting steps, but still become no view through the app to my phone.  The camera will take shots and video, but I am having to estimate at what the camera is "seeing" without the view appearing through the app.  Any suggestions???

Check the cables around the base of the gimbal, they are near often the culprit equally they accept been a bit prone to come loose, especially in a hard landing or someting....

I take the same problem from a couple of week...I tin encounter through the app one fourth dimension on 10, more or less...
I've checked drone connectors and are all ok and I never had difficult landing, crash or other damages....I'm actually going crazy...I don't know what to practice...
The trouble seems to go from bad to worse  day by day....initially the trouble occurs only one time in a while, now are more times than not works of those works!!
Please, help!!

Video feed problem shooting
Please endeavor the following steps:
•        Ensure you accept upgraded all DJI products to their latest firmware. Check updated, plus the camera firmware
•        Ensure y'all are connected to the wifi phantom-xxxx SID
.        Cheque bluetooth be sure it is off
•        Ensure your telephone has been updated to the latest software.
•        Ensure you accept closed all other multi-tasking applications.
•        Check the free space on your mobile device, information technology is recommend having at least 3GB available, less storage could be causing an issue.
•        Endeavour deleting the app from your telephone and downloading it again.
Endeavor reformatting the SD card with  full format.
•        Reduce the preview framerate from 30 fps to fifteen fps in the Settings of the DJI Vision app.
Bank check your wifi battery level.
Check the three leads going to the gimbal to be certain they are tight. Bank check each one closely for any pins that may have pulled upward and loose.
If the above don't get information technology and so the but remaining bank check is the video feed plug on the wifi transmitter under the vanquish.
If that's ok then information technology's most likely a damaged or burnt out wifi transmitter if you notwithstanding meet the SID.

To all of you who had your drone fried by the Range Extender update, expect at this rubbish reply I got from DJI after spending tons of money and time sending it to Hong Kong for repair:

For your case CAS-89692-J9Z4N8, in that location are some problem with the camera both no videl sign and DM368 damaged after aircraft take been hitted slightly.
Of class we will arrange repair for complimentary if the product problem in warranty peroid .So deplorable that this is a chargeable case.Delight kindly note.Thanks for your understanding.Cheers

...oh, and then apparently my drone had an accident exactly at the same time the Range Extender update came out and I now have to pay them more than than a 100 USD for both parts, labor and transport to get information technology fixed! I'm not shy of calling these people a bunch of lying bastards fifty-fifty this postal service getting deleted for my apply of language.

    turn on vision+, extender, smartphone, dji vision app, see bare live video screen
using notebook/pc connect to Wi-Fi network "Phantom_xxxxx"
ping 192.168.1.2
If ping succesfull, your wifi-extender is alive and can connect to Phantom'southward Wi-Fi (bounden is ok). If ping fails - go no further, you are doing something wrong. Take a break, potable coffee, think most getting some groundwork in networking technologies, windows, etc (joke).

If ping succesfull, Superlative PCB board of Wi-Fi FPV module is alive
ping 192.168.ane.x
If ping succesfull, BOTTOM PCB Lath of WI-Fi FPV module is live.

Starting time up the drone & Extender equally usual.
take a laptop and search for Wi-Fi network "Phantom_xxxxx"
Blazon cmd in the Windows Start bill of fare
When the choice comes up cmd.exe, select this
Coming upwards a new box and at that place enter the above instructions.
for case. ping 192.168.1.2
Follow the step by step.

In nigh cases, yous go errors when pings on one WiFi menu.

Anyhow, I stopped updating my birds a while back and probably why my P2V+ still flies true.

My Dji Phantom iii Advanced was working fine, I had just had a quick flight and and so decided to update the aircraft and the controller to the latest firmware as the Dji Go app was prompting me to do and so.
I accept a new Ipad air2 which I had to purchase as my other tablet ( Samsung Tab3 ) wouldn't show me the video/camera feed.

Anyway subsequently updating

Dji Go app to ios 2.vii.1
Shipping P3 advanced to 1.7.sixty (I had heaps of problems getting it to load this, the report kept saying it was the aforementioned version one.6 ? but when I look on the app screen it says its 1.7.60 )
RC to one.5.8 ( even now it still keeps telling me information technology needs to update to version 1.5.8 even though in the (about page) it's version is 1.5.viii)
My Ipad Air 2 is running 9.3.1

I at present have command of the phantom merely I cannot see whatever camera or video on my ipad screen.
I accept reinstalled and restarted everything multiple times and I get the same results. ( have reinstalled the DJI Go app from your website and I now have lost all of my flight records also)
I am so disappointed with this Phantom.
Afterward having to purchase a new Ipad Air2 at the first only so it would exist compatible to see the camera on screen I'm at present back to where I started.

Hullo,
I'm not sure how how to see the hidden file , merely I downloaded the update again and put the unzipped BIN file into the drone and its lights changed from green to red etc then stayed dark-green. the report said.

The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.
Which tells me that its def got the latest version in information technology.

I experienced a similar problem today for first time in over a year.  Seems that the FPV would disappear from my screen like it used to when I first bought the Vision+ Five.iii.0.  Back then I would have to get out of "camera" setting and restart to regain feed.  Today I had to completely shut out the application and restart the connexion with my drone.  The but change has been an upgrade to Android Marshmellow on my HTC One M8.  I doubtable that my upshot may be related to the Vision App not playing besides with Android 6.0.

Hi. I had the same trouble, first intermittently, than all the time. I could not see the camera view and the naza way indicator would not come on, even though the DJI assistant software confirmed it was in Naza mode. Following your communication, I used a plastic pen to push down the wires leading into the gimbal. And presto! That fixed it. Thanks!!!!

Whoever wrote this listen up.  Yous forced a change to the RE700 with IOS app i.0.58.   I was working fine for months with absolutely no problems.  You guys have to resolve the lawmaking issue (it'southward only simple Linux) in the RE700 and send this firmware update out in a revised DJI Vision update.  This is the only way to communicate with the RE700.  You're change afflicted many users, it's setting my workload mode out of whack.  My visitor is considering irresolute to another manufacturer e.k. Yuneec.   We cannot afford this down fourth dimension!!!!

What you listed is a procedure if the RE700 didn't get the firmware change forced on us by Vision app 1.0.58.  This broke all my Phantom two'south.   Later I bind I simply see the SSID of my camera, and I get a failure to connect error.   You lot need to set the Linux code in the RE700 and button out a prepare through an updated DJI Vision app (for android and IOS).   This is the only way to communicate with the RE700.

Hi all,

I've been suffering from the same issue after starting upward my Phantom since 9 months ago... no live view!

Well... I've but made a quantum and I have now resolved this! I'thousand doing some farther testing just it involves quite a bit of work as you demand to remove the bottom PCB from the WiFi module in the Phantom and so reflash a new firmware using the UART_0 ports. After reflashing, I can at present ping 192.168.ane.x and see the photographic camera feed!

And so if you are suffering from the no live view result and cannot ping 192.168.1.x when connected to the WiFi then this is the prepare! I've tried everything else prior to this and nothing else works other than replacing the WiFi module.

Aforementioned problem.  Worked fine.   Took it out today for the kickoff time in 10 months and there is no FPV.  I see literally hundreds of users take the aforementioned issue  - bricked by the app upgrade.  What is the final discussion from DJI on this outcome?   Are they fixing for gratis?   Can it be stock-still with another firmware upgrade?

I've confirmed that I have now fully resolved my unit - Information technology's a decadent NAND in the WiFi transmitter (bottom PCB that responds to 192.168.one.10). This corrup NAND stops the unit of measurement from booting upwardly.

The only way to restore is to claw into the UART directly on the board.

I'm willing to confirm this is the ready if anyone in the UK wants to send their unit to me.  It would be good to try this out on another unit that has the same event.
Credit where it's due - These awesome guys had the aforementioned issue with the lightbridge unit - Board the lightbridge unit of measurement and this WiFi unit seem to exist based on the same hardware/code.

Well funilly enough I take the vented unit and alive in ane of the coldest parts of the UK so in that location's no way this was an overheating issue that they like to use as an alibi! I was really in 3 degree conditions when I concluding used the unit and it was then kept in my car for nine months (in the boot) - once again, always kept in cool conditions. I've heard the overheating issue but I'm not convinced - it was perfect 9 months previously so I was in complete shock when information technology no longer worked. The only reason I was testing it out was to stick it on Ebay and upgrade to a iv... well forget the upgrade as I don't trust it to last more than 2 years similar this unit. DJI has let me down with this to be honest

Do you want me to await at your unit and see if I can become it working again for you? More than happy to and you lot have nothing to lose should I not manage to fix it.
